Job summary

ICF in Columbia, MD is seeking an Energy Engineer to join the Mid-Atlantic Energy Engineering team in a hybrid role. You will review energy efficiency projects, analyze calculations and models, and guide customers and contractors seeking incentives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 2+ years of related experience, with knowledge of energy modeling tools and program requirements. Travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 2+ years of energy efficiency project experience.
• Must pass background check, MVR check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Review incentive applications (Custom, Building Tune-Up, Retro-Commissioning) for compliance.
• Prepare reviews of energy savings calculations for HVAC, BAS, Lighting, and equipment.
• Analyze energy data using spreadsheets and data tools.
• Provide guidance on baselines and EM&V plans for energy savings verification.
• Assist customers, architects, engineers, and contractors with energy best practices.
• Assess whole-building efficiency strategies and retrofit recommendations.
• Conduct pre/post site visits for energy projects and report progress.
