Energy Efficiency Commercial and Industrial Manager

Position Summary

This role involves selling and managing a portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) energy efficiency projects, including Multi-family projects similar to commercial programs. The manager will focus on Engineered Solutions and Multifamily Engineered Solutions programs, overseeing sales, program design, delivery, and contractor engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of C&I Energy Efficiency programs, including implementation and contractor coordination.
  • Coordinate program activities, develop communication plans, monitor vendor performance, and maximize customer participation.
  • Handle data reporting, verify invoices, analyze information, and communicate reports to customers.
  • Develop work processes, budgets, and performance goals.
  • Collaborate with marketing for program promotion and outreach.
  • Represent the company in meetings regarding energy efficiency services.
  • Stay informed about advances in energy efficiency programs locally and nationally.
  • Provide customer service and resolve issues related to C&I programs.
  • Drive sales and close commercial projects.
  • Build and develop relationships with organizations and trade allies for new business opportunities.
  • Identify energy efficiency opportunities through various outreach efforts.
  • Support program filings, updates, and incentive applications.
  • Ensure program deliverables, energy savings, and financial targets are met.
  • Develop performance metrics and oversee program implementation strategies.
  • Maintain contractor relationships, including invoice approval and quality assurance.
  • Work with utility and external stakeholders to refine policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 4 years of experience; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership experience.
Skills
  • Proven ability to sell and close projects.
  • Experience with utility-based energy efficiency programs preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Additional Information

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible PTO, health insurance, 401(k), and employee resource groups. The salary range is $97,500 - $156,000, based on qualifications and experience.
