Job summary

Cumming Group in Austin, TX seeks an Assistant Project Manager focused on the Energy Source for a new data center construction. You will support the project management team by coordinating, organizing, and tracking documentation related to this scope, and communicating status updates to the team.

A BS in Construction Management or related field and 3+ years of PM/engineering/construction experience are required. Strong reading of blueprints, multitasking, and QA/QC skills are expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or related field; Engineering degree highly preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management

Responsibilities

• Assist the project management team with the energy source aspects of the project
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings
• Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager
• Under the supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes
• Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented
• Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager
• Perform QA/QC process
• Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards
• Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team
• Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management
• Review and maintain As Built drawings
• Other duties as assigned
• Attendance at work during normal business hours
