Job summary

MARS Solutions Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to direct day-to-day Energy Delivery Projects, coordinating from intake through closure. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget while escalating risks to the PMO and reporting on status to stakeholders.

The role requires strong communication, cross-team collaboration, and adherence to PMO standards. Responsibilities include coordinating resources, managing dependencies, and ensuring governance, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional Project Management experience, preferably within the utility industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey concepts professionally to diverse audiences (Steering Committees, project teams).
• Demonstrated understanding and experience with SDLC/Project methodologies and frameworks, including Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum, alongside working familiarity with PMI foundational standards (PMBOK).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Project Web App (PWA).
• Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Intake & Initiation: Navigate the project lifecycle from idea through initial approval.
• Overall Management: Oversee design, build, test, change management, deployment, and support transitions.
• Scope & Deliverables: Define project scope, deliverables, and constraints.
• Risk & Issue Resolution: Identify and escalate risks and issues; escalate to PMO when needed.
• Governance & Standards: Ensure PMO standards and approaches are followed.
• Cost, Schedule & Quality: Monitor budget, schedule, and quality with leads.
• Work Plans & Execution: Create and track work plans, milestones, and checkpoints.
• Coordination & Meetings: Schedule activities, assign work, report status, and run team meetings.
• Resource & Dependency Management: Manage resources, dependencies, and deadlines.
• Vision & Team Engagement: Communicate project goals and foster teamwork.
• Scope Change Management: Vet and implement scope changes per PMO rules.
• Cross-Team Integration: Collaborate on cross-project dependencies.
• Financial Governance & Approvals: Align with program leadership on resource and financials.
• Status Reporting & Stakeholder Management: Produce weekly status reports and manage expectations.
• Operational Transition & Closure: Plan and execute transitions into normal operations and capture lessons learned.
