Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking an Energy Marshall to control, coordinate, and document energized systems on our project sites in Lithia Springs, GA. The role ensures energization, LOTO, and energy isolation are properly planned and executed across projects.

You will review diagrams, coordinate with project teams, and maintain energy-control records while supporting commissioning, testing, and safety initiatives on large-scale sites.

Qualifications

• Experience with energization in industrial or data center projects.
• Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and energy isolation.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain one-line diagrams.
• Experience developing Energization Methods of Procedure (MOP).
• Strong hazard identification and safety controls knowledge.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician certification preferred.
• NFPA 70E Certification preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the designated authority for energy related activities on the project site.
• Coordinate energization and de-energization with project management, safety, and trade supervision.
• Review, interpret, and explain electrical and system one-line diagrams to project teams.
• Maintain real time awareness of energized versus de-energized systems across the project.
• Participate in commissioning, load banking, and system testing activities.
• Develops, reviews, and approves Energization Methods of Procedure prior to execution.
• Ensure MOPs clearly define scope, hazards, and PPE.
• Enforce LOTO program and verify proper isolation of all energy sources.
• Maintain Energy Control Log and energization records.
• Communicate energization status to stakeholders.
