Job summary

The City of New York’s DCAS Energy Management team seeks a Program Manager, Contracting Innovation to optimize contract vehicles and expand energy project delivery. You’ll work with the DEM Contracting Innovation Team and agency staff to advance energy efficiency, decarbonization, and sustainable procurement across city operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong project management, technical writing, and knowledge of procurement processes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental science or public health.
• Doctorate in an appropriate field with one year of supervisory, administrative or research experience; or
• Master's degree with three years of responsible full-time research experience; or
• Equivalent combination with at least a master's degree and relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic recommendations to improve the use of DEM’s existing contract vehicles.
• Drive development of new contract vehicles for energy project delivery and related services.
• Review citywide contracts with OCP/MOCS to update energy efficiency standards and language.
• Support Contracting Innovation Team operations and maintain standard operating procedures.
