Job summary

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is seeking a Program Manager, Contracting Innovation within Energy Management in New York City. The role collaborates with the DEM Contracting Innovation Team and cross-divisional staff to improve contract utilization and create new vehicles for energy projects.

Responsibilities include updating citywide contracts with energy-efficiency standards, drafting guidance language, and establishing procedures for agency use.

Qualifications

• Assignment Level I requires a master's degree in an appropriate science or public health field.
• Assignment Level II requires a doctorate or equivalent experience with at least two years at City Research Scientist I level.
• Candidates must have at least a master's degree and relevant supervisory or research experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic recommendations to improve the use of existing contract vehicles.
• Drive development of new contract vehicles for energy project delivery and other energy services.
• Review citywide contracts to identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and update standards.
• Support the Contracting Innovation Team by tracking requests and maintaining SOPs.

Education

Master's degree in physical/biological/environmental science or public health

Doctorate degree in physical/biological/environmental/social science
