Guidehouse is seeking an experienced Commercial Strategy Associate Director for the Energy Providers practice in the US. You will lead engagements, develop client relationships, and shape strategic roadmaps to support energy transition for electric and gas utilities.

The role requires deep industry knowledge, collaboration across teams, and strong communication with executive clients. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement with travel up to 50% and opportunities to influence high-profile

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, business, economics, environmental, science or related discipline with 7+ years post-grad experience, or Master’s with 5+ years experience.
• Strategy background from a consulting firm with utilities industry preference.
• Strong understanding of business and project management fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Understand client challenges and energy transition goals.
• Own and develop client relationships within utilities and adjacent industries.
• Design, deliver, and communicate strategy through reports and presentations.
• Lead workshops and facilitate client meetings with stakeholders.
• Develop target operating models and operating roadmaps for implementations.
• Oversee multi-workstream teams and mentor junior staff.
• Contribute to business development with proposals and scope of work.
• Analyze macro trends, competition, and regulatory factors impacting utilities.
