Job summary

Technology Resource Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our automotive operations in Detroit, MI. You will lead the Energy Center and WWTP maintenance, directing skilled trades and contractors to ensure safe, reliable utility systems supporting manufacturing.

The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, safety leadership, and continual improvement. You will coordinate with Production, Engineering, Environmental, Safety teams, and UAW represented employees to maximize

Qualifications

3+ years in manufacturing or automotive operations.
1+ year of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Experience supervising preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
Knowledge of industrial mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or automation systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Supervise skilled trades employees maintaining Energy Center and WWTP.
Ensure safe, reliable operation of plant utility systems.
Manage daily maintenance: preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency.
Prioritize work orders and coordinate maintenance schedules.
Maintain environmental compliance and permit requirements.
Lead troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control issues.
Support operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, pumps, piping, and wastewater equipment.
Manage PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, and instrumentation systems.
Coordinate outside contractors and vendors; ensure safety.
Develop preventive maintenance strategies to improve reliability.
Analyze equipment failures with Root Cause Analysis.
Support capital projects from planning through commissioning.
Manage maintenance budgets and spare parts procurement.
Use CMMS to track work orders and maintenance history.
Monitor KPIs like uptime, MTTR, MTBF, PM compliance.
Lead daily Shop Floor Management meetings and drive improvements.
Promote teamwork and a culture of operational excellence.
