Job summary

Lancashire Insurance U.S. is seeking an Underwriting Assistant - Energy Casualty to provide underwriting and administrative support for assigned accounts.

You will assist with data collection, setup, quotes, binders, policy issuance, and endorsements for the Energy Casualty team. The role requires 3–5 years of casualty insurance experience, a degree, strong attention to detail, and teamwork with excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum Casualty insurance experience.
• Willing to develop underwriting knowledge and skills.
• Demonstrate high accuracy with strong attention to detail.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Good communication with focus on customer service to clients.
• Degree level qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Review account submission data with broker partners to obtain missing information.
• Confirm policy issuance instructions for quotes, binders, policies, endorsements, notices, etc., and complete coding/issuance.
• Enter data and perform quality checks of insurance policy information in in-house systems.
• Generate broker correspondence related to transactions and follow-up requests.
• Provide ad hoc operational support to the Underwriting teams.
