Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager - Energy to support a complex construction project.

APMS coordinate the field team, project team, and our customers, guiding Project Engineers and Project Coordinators in partnership with the Project Manager. The role requires 5+ years of related experience, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), strong MS Excel and scheduling tool skills, and the ability to estimate change orders.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred in CM/Engineering.
• Experience: 3+ years as Project Engineer in electrical construction; 5+ years overall.
• Licensure/Certifications: None required.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead meetings and guide Project Engineers and Coordinators with the PM.
• Coordinate with scheduling to populate CEI schedule.
• Identify cost impacts from RFIs, submittals, and design changes.
• Prepare and approve change orders for PM review.
• Manage close-out documents.
• Coordinate commissioning with 3rd party and track items.
• Maintain partnerships with vendors and subcontractors; manage material releases.
