Rhode Island Energy seeks a Customer Advocate to support income-eligible customers by guiding enrollment in aid programs and coordinating with external support agencies. You will represent customer interests internally to shape programs addressing affordability and volatility in energy spend.

Competenze

• 1+ years of related customer advocacy experience.
• Experience delivering customer service to low-income or income-eligible customers.
• Ability to learn customer information systems and tools quickly.
• Strong communication of complex programs to diverse customer groups.

Mansioni

• Work with customers one on one for billing, payments, and payment agreements.
• Coordinate LIHEAP, outage preparation, protections certification, energy efficiency support.
• Develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders to share social care opportunities.
• Identify external channels to engage income-eligible customers and drive program participation.
• Manage referrals from email, vendors, call center, and field in line with policies.
• Represent the voice of income-eligible customers to inform RI Energy program design.
