Job summary

KBR Consulting seeks an Engagement Manager to lead energy advisory and consulting engagements across strategy, commercial optimization, and operating improvement. You will translate complex questions into actionable insights, guide multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality, client-focused outcomes from initiation to delivery.

The role is based in Houston, TX, with international travel to support engagements.

Qualifications

Typically 12+ years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, strategy, or business transformation.
Proven ability to lead complex engagements and manage multiple workstreams.
Experience structuring ambiguous problems and delivering actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

Engagement Leadership: lead consulting engagements from problem definition through recommendations and implementation.
Strategy & Business Advisory: lead corporate strategy, market entry, portfolio assessment, pricing, and go-to-market work.
Operational Excellence: drive cost reduction, process improvement, and organizational effectiveness.
Financial, Economic & Risk Advisory: oversee financial analysis, investment evaluation, risk assessment, and regulatory considerations.
Client Relationship Management: build relationships with stakeholders and present recommendations to senior leaders.
Business Development: support opportunity identification and proposal development.
