Job summary

Meta is seeking an Energy Accounting Manager to support energy accounting for Meta's infrastructure in Austin, TX. You will own day-to-day accounting operations and partner with energy and infrastructure business teams.

The role requires a solid accounting background, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional partners and the finance organization to ensure accurate reporting and timely close.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly utilities and energy accruals, and support the review of accruals completeness with the business.
• Prepare quarterly energy and renewable commitments reporting, including supporting schedules and documentation.
• Monitor prepaid energy and water balances, including amortization, and prepare the supporting reconciliations and rollforwards.
• Perform the monthly energy general ledger review, including reclassifications and cleanup, and resolve variances with the business and the outsourced accounting team.
• Prepare fixed asset creation requests for energy capital wires, and review energy cash transactions for accurate and timely recording.
• Monitor energy lease commencement and support lease accounting conclusions in partnership with senior team members and Technical Accounting.
• Serve as a day-to-day accounting point of contact for the Energy, Supply Chain Operations, and Engineering teams, escalating new and non-standard arrangements to team leads for review.
