Job summary

Ursa Major is hiring a Development Technician to support Energetics manufacturing, including propellant mixing and milling for new programs. You will ensure safe, compliant operations, assemble and maintain equipment, and contribute to process improvements with engineers.

The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, willingness to work various shifts, and the ability to operate in a highly controlled environment with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Safety-oriented mindset focused on quality and production processes.
• Attention to detail and situational awareness.
• Experience with hazardous chemicals beyond standard cleaners.

Responsibilities

• Full scale propellant mixing for production and development programs; manage materials and equipment.
• Milling: assemble mills and weigh materials for mixes; disassemble/clean equipment.
• Other duties: AP prep for milling, assembly of prototype energetic articles, and support of new production initiatives.
• Maintain a clean, organized space meeting FOD standards.
• Develop preventative maintenance schedules with engineering support.
• Work overtime or other shifts to meet production schedules.
• Work from elevated platforms, climb ladders, and lift 35 lbs repetitively.
• Must be medically cleared to wear respirator and operate powered equipment.
