Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Pueblo, CO is seeking a Material Control Technician to manage material movement, staging, and storage on the production floor. You will ensure accurate lot/serial tracking, coordinate inspections, and maintain ERP records in NetSuite while complying with explosive material handling safety protocols.

The role requires forklift operation, 21+ age, and the ability to obtain explosives licenses, with 1–3 years of manufacturing material handling experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.
• Eligible to obtain explosives licenses.
• 1–3 years material handling/warehouse experience.
• Must be able to operate forklift/pallet jack; certification required or obtained on hire.
• Ability to lift/move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail for inventory transactions and lot tracking.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and bin locations.
• Basic ERP/MRP experience; NetSuite a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from receiving to storage locations following put-away procedures.
• Stage materials to production floor in line with work orders and priorities.
• Pull materials against BOMs; verify quantity, lot, and part numbers before staging.
• Coordinate with Shipping/Receiving and Quality for inspections and handoffs.
• Return unused or defective materials to storage or quarantine areas and update ERP/MRP in NetSuite.
• Operate forklift and other material-handling equipment safely and report deficiencies.
• Maintain organized, compliant storage areas including energetics storage per ATF/OSHA.
• Support cycle counts and physical inventory; record quantities accurately.
• Identify and escalate damaged or non-conforming materials with proper authorization.
• Maintain lot/serial traceability across material movements and ERP records.
• Follow explosives handling protocols and PPE requirements on site.
