Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Elkton, MD seeks Associate Industrial Energetics Engineers to support Energetics and SRM production using IE tools and lean methods. The role requires pursuing or completing degrees in Industrial Engineering and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.

You will build data visualizations with Excel, CORE, Tableau, and MES dashboards, collaborate across functions, and contribute to capacity planning and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be completing or has completed a degree in Industrial Engineering by December 2026.
• Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis and design of Energetics and SRM production using IE tools (VSM, line balancing, capacity/utilization).
• Gather and present data on cost, labor, inventory and material flow; create concise charts and recommendations.
• Develop data visualizations and visual factory tools (Excel, CORE, Tableau, MES dashboards) to support decisions.
• Assist with facility layout changes and safe, standardized work methods.
• Collaborate across functions and contribute to continuous improvement and capacity planning.
