Urbano in Baltimore is seeking an energetic and hospitable Server to join our team. You will guide guests through our traditional Tex-Mex menu, recommend signature margaritas, and deliver exceptional service.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, possesses a passion for Mexican cuisine, and can communicate effectively with a diverse range of guests and team members. Experience with upselling and POS is a plus, and comfort with cash handling is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Lift up to 30 lbs and stand for 8 hours.
• Exceptional multitasking during busy dinner rushes.
• Warm, welcoming personality and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Explain dishes, ingredients, spice levels, and allergens to guests.
• Proactively upsell appetizers, cocktails, tequilas, and desserts.
• Take detailed food and beverage orders and input into POS.
• Deliver dishes and drinks promptly with proper garnishes and presentation.
• Maintain a clean dining space and restock supplies during service.
• Handle cash, card, and digital payments; manage split checks for large parties.
• Assist teammates during peak rushes and prep side-work.
