Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races in West Virginia is seeking a kitchen team member with basic culinary experience who can support the daily cooking operations and maintain high quality food preparation standards.

The role requires 3 months of culinary experience, ability to read safety and procedural documents, and willingness to obtain necessary West Virginia licenses and food handler certification, with compliance to PPE and safety guidelines.

Qualificações

• 3 months experience in the culinary field.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Must qualify for licensing with the West Virginia Racing Commission.
• Attend our West Virginia Food Handlers Class and pass certification.

Responsabilidades

• Adjusts thermostat controls to regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, and steams meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Adds seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
• Observes and tests foods being cooked by tasting, smelling, and piercing with fork to determine that it is cooked.
• Carves meats, portions food on serving plates, adds gravies and sauces, and garnishes servings to fill orders.
• Washes, peels, cuts, and shreds vegetables and fruits to prepare them for use.
• Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry and any task assigned to you by your master cook, sous chef and room chef and or restaurant manager.
