Mainsail Lodging & Development is seeking a Prep Cook to support the kitchen across all F & B outlets at our Atlanta properties. You will perform day-to-day prep, basic vegetable and sauce prep, assist with plate-ups, and uphold safety and sanitation standards in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

We value reliability, teamwork, and strong communication. A high school diploma and at least 1 year in a restaurant kitchen are preferred; pastry experience is a plus and long hours on your feet

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant
• Experience in culinary kitchen, pastry & baking preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Aufgaben

• Basic vegetable prep – peeling, slicing, dicing, and portioning
• Basic sauce prep – stocks, dressings, sauces and vinaigrettes
• Basic cooking of bulk prep items braised meats, soups, and sides
• Minor butchering – processing whole poultry and fish
• Baking & pastry preparation
• General cleaning – equipment, floors, walls, coolers, and freezers
• Dishwashing – all kitchen staff wash dishes
• Follow Safe Staff sanitary compliance throughout every area working in the kitchen
• Follow all safety procedures to include knife safety
• Restock clean dishes, flatware and all cooking equipment
• Maintain the kitchen work area in an orderly and clean condition
• Stock supplies for the kitchen and maintain area in order
• Sweep, Scrub, mop floors and wipe surfaces
• Assist with plate up dinners during banquets
• Load/unload food deliveries and supplies
