Job summary

Kenosha YMCA is seeking an energetic Fitness Instructor to provide high-quality group classes for our members and guests. The instructor leads group fitness sessions to motivate participants and enhance overall fitness, strength, and endurance in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating routines with music, taking attendance, and educating members on improving their quality of life while contributing new ideas to the class schedule.

Qualifications

• Current up to date nationally recognized fitness credentials
• Must be 18 years or older and a high school graduate or equivalent
• 6 months to 1 year of related experience
• Skill and knowledge of aerobic techniques and mechanics
• Training and teaching experience in aerobic and physical fitness
• Excellent member relation and customer service skills
• Professional image
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility in work schedule
• Maintain a valid drivers license
• Background check can not contain offenses restricted by state law

Responsibilities

• Lead group fitness classes for members and guests to motivate and improve fitness, strength and endurance
• Coordinate routines with appropriate music and ensure attendance
• Serve as a resource of information to educate members on improving quality of life
• Contribute to the class schedule with new ideas
