Job summary

Acquire4Hire in Bennington, VT is seeking an energetic, dependable full-time Early Childhood Assistant to support two-year-olds and assist teachers with daily activities.

You will help with feeding, diapering, nap time, lesson support, observations, and parent communication in a lively classroom; requires HS diploma and willingness to complete required trainings, with benefits described.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some coursework in early childhood education preferred.
• Willing to complete online mandated reporter training.
• Willing to complete online Vermont orientation training.
• Willing to complete CPR/first aid training.
• If no early childhood coursework, complete 45 hours Fundamentals for Early Childhood Education within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic care duties of feeding, changing diapers, and facilitating naptime.
• Interact with young children in a playful, educational manner.
• Assist the teacher with lesson plans, maintain observations, and work with special educators.
• Interact with parents and maintain a clean, safe classroom.
