The position requires a high school diploma, with early childhood coursework preferred. Training in mandated reporting, Vermont orientation, and CPR/First Aid is required, with a 45-hour ECE course within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate.
• Some coursework in early childhood education preferred.
• Must complete online mandated reporter training, Vermont orientation, and CPR/First Aid training.
• If no ECE coursework, complete 45-hour Fundamentals for Early Childhood Education within first year.
• Nice to have: some experience with young children and some ECE coursework.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic care duties: feeding, diaper changes, naptime, and interact with children playfully.
• Assist the teacher with lesson plans, observations, and working with special educators.
• Interact with parents and maintain a clean classroom.
