Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Director, Enduring Programs Deputy to drive execution of multiple programs, interface with senior leaders, and oversee technical, cost, and schedule performance. The role reports to the VP of Enduring Programs and acts as an empowered delegate for strategic program decisions.

The position requires a US citizenship with ability to maintain US DoD TOP SECRET/SCI clearance; extensive leadership across major programs and strong government stakeholder engagement are

Standard Job Description

The Director, Enduring Programs Deputy is responsible for driving the execution of multiple classified and unclassified programs, keep sold strategy and implementing tactics, technical solutions and cost and schedule performance. The role serves as the deputy to the Vice President of Enduring Programs, regularly serving as empowered delegate, interfacing with top customer Program Leadership, senior level Government Officials and Lockheed Martin Executives. This role will oversee development and insertion of related technology development efforts through contracted and/or internal funding methodologies, responsible for making strategic and programmatic decisions that directly drive continued successful performance throughout the lifecycle of programs.

Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 20+ years’ experience in aerospace and defense
• Previous team leadership experience working on major captures and programs
• Experience in development and/or production of major programs
• Demonstrated ability to build strong internal and external networks and develop strong teams to achieve goals.
• Previous experience leading large pursuits/captures/proposals
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage across Business and functional areas
• Experience in engaging government customers & stakeholders, achieving alignment of disparate organizations and developing trusted relationships.

The selected candidate will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess and be able to maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.

Desired Skills

• Experience in major programs in ISR, UAS, and/or Command & Control domains
• Advanced degree preferred
• Current access to multiple Special Access Programs

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $195000.00 - $350000.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
