Job summary

Colorado School of Mines is seeking an experienced Endpoint Support Engineer to manage Mines-owned devices, software deployments, and virtual desktop services. You will deliver Tier 3 support, orchestration across IT teams, and ensure secure, well-documented user experiences campus-wide.

You will deploy, patch, and configure endpoints using Microsoft Endpoint Manager and Jamf Pro, develop automation with PowerShell, Bash, and Python, and partner with Cybersecurity for secure configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related degree field is required or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint management environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, MECM, Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy, Windows Autopilot, and Jamf Pro.
• Experience supporting enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure platforms and automation/scripting efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 endpoint support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Lead deployment readiness, packaging, patching, and OS deployment for Mines-managed devices.
• Develop automation and scripts to improve support efficiency.
• Coordinate VDI readiness, user experience improvements, and escalation workflows.
• Maintain device standards, lifecycle planning, and collaboration with IT teams.
