Job summary

Lentech Inc. in Fort Meade, MD seeks a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 3) to lead the EDR program, architect, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Trellix HX across hybrid environments, ensuring endpoint visibility and threat containment for national security assets.

You will mentor junior engineers, translate threat intel into actionable IOCs with KQL and YARA, and serve as a technical advisor to Government stakeholders on system risks and engineering considerations.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of SE experience in programs of similar scope and complexity.
• Active TS/SCI w/ FSP through MD required.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAM Level II or III baseline certifications required.
• MDE architecture, deployment via MECM/SCCM or Intune, and advanced hunting with KQL.
• Treliix HX controllers and agents in restricted networks; OpenIOC and YARA rule creation.
• Windows, Linux, and macOS internals knowledge; registry and file system expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle engineering and scale-out architecture of MDE and Trellix HX across hybrid environments.
• Author complex system engineering and implementation plans; tune agent configurations and exclusions.
• Monitor endpoint health at scale and collaborate with threat hunters to translate intel into IOCs.
• Provide advanced forensic support during critical incidents; mentor junior engineers; advise government stakeholders.
