Job summary

Legato, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to lead the EDR program, focusing on Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Trellix HX across hybrid environments (on-prem, cloud, VDI). The role requires extensive system engineering experience and IAM certifications, with a strong emphasis on threat containment and endpoint health management.

You will mentor junior engineers, craft implementation plans, and act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on risks and engineering

Qualifications

• Experience engineering MDE architecture and deployment strategies.
• Experience with Trellix HX controllers/agents in restricted networks.
• Strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and macOS internals.
• IAM Level II or III baseline certifications.
• 20 years experience as a systems/cybersecurity engineer.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead lifecycle engineering and scale-out architecture of MDE and Trellix HX across hybrid environments.
• Architect, design, integrate, deploy and optimize endpoint security platforms.
• Tune agent configurations and exclusion policies to minimize friction and maximize visibility.
• Provide advanced forensic support to SOC during critical incidents.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers within the program.
