Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Endpoint Software Configuration Management Engineer to support a national intelligence program. You will develop and automate release processes, manage builds, and ensure secure, reliable software deployments across environments.

You will work with engineers to resolve build issues, maintain version control, and contribute to continuous improvement of the release process. This role requires TS/SCI with Poly and a strong foundation in Linux, Java web apps, and

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain Poly clearance.
8+ years of relevant IT experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 6 years with Master's; 3 years with PhD; or 12 years with HS).
Experience with enterprise application server architectures.
Experience in administering application server architectures in large environments.
Understanding of web technologies, servers, load balancers, protocols, and SSL.
Familiarity with Linux command line and architecture.
Ability to troubleshoot Java-based web applications.
Scripting in Shell and/or Python.
Working knowledge of Oracle/SQL databases.
Effective verbal and written communication with customers and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

Develop, analyze, and maintain tools that support release processes for hardware or software products.
Write installation scripts for product deployment.
Initiate builds and packaging with appropriate schedules.
Manage source code repositories and enforce version-control best practices.
Automate build, test, and deployment pipelines for CI/CD.
Design release pipelines for reliable software rollouts.
Train and mentor team members on build and CI/CD processes.
Maintain release-related documentation and procedures.
