Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Release Engineer to lead the development, packaging, validation, and lifecycle management of enterprise platform releases for mission-critical initiatives. You will manage release artifacts, SBOMs, and software inventories while ensuring traceability and auditable versioning across secure environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's with 5+ years; OR 15+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience developing or maintaining infrastructure automation using IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet).
• Experience supporting Kubernetes-based environments and containerized applications.
• Experience with Git-based source control and GitLab CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with Harbor or OCI container registries.
• Experience managing Helm charts and Kubernetes lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, JSIG, Secure Software Supply Chain Frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, package, validate, and maintain versioned enterprise platform releases.
• Assemble and manage release artifacts: Ansible playbooks/roles, Puppet modules, Helm charts, containers, RPMs, SBOMs.
• Coordinate vulnerability scanning for containers, OS, packages, and artifacts.
• Maintain release baselines, traceability, reproducibility, auditable versioning.
• Build automated release workflows using GitLab CI/CD and DevSecOps tooling.
• Coordinate release promotion across development, integration, testing, staging, prod.
• Support software configuration management and lifecycle activities.
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering, Software Development, Cybersecurity, and Operations teams.
