Job summary

Peraton in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced Endpoint Software Configuration Management Engineer to join our national intelligence program delivering engineering, development, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise IT solutions.

You will lead release automation, manage source control, build pipelines, and mentor teammates while collaborating with engineering, operations, and QA to ensure reliable software delivery.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with poly; US citizenship required.
• Bachelor degree required; master/PhD with experience acceptable.
• Proficiency with version control and automation tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and maintain tools that support and automate release processes.
• Write installation scripts for product installation and deployment.
• Determine build schedules and initiate build and packaging processes.
• Manage source code repositories and enforce version control best practices.
• Automate build, test, and deployment to enable CI/CD and release pipelines.
• Design release pipelines and mentor team members on release processes.
• Maintain documentation for release procedures and configurations.
• Track release metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure smooth transitions from development to operations and environments.
