Job summary

Mecklenburg County – Information Technology Services – Security Services seeks an Endpoint MDM Deployment Contractor in Charlotte, NC to support the Unified Endpoint Management team. You will deploy and configure mobile devices for the Evergreen Refresh, schedule deployments, and provide first-line support for County-issued devices.

The role focuses on secure, efficient device deployment, e-cycling of old devices, and meticulous documentation, with in-person collaboration and strict IT security

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with mobile device deployment and configuration, including iOS platforms.
• Familiarity with MDM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune, AirWatch, or similar).
• Ability to provide effective end-user support with strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
• Strong organizational skills for managing device scheduling, tracking, and handoffs.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while providing excellent customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to IT security practices.

Responsibilities

• Configuring and setting up mobile devices in alignment with the Countys Evergreen Refresh program.
• Coordinating deployments of mobile devices to County end users, including scheduling, logistics, and user handoff.
• Receiving, processing, and tracking old devices for secure e-cycling and disposal according to County policy.
• Providing first-level support forbreak/fix issues, troubleshooting, and inquiries related to County-issued mobile devices.
• Collaborating with the Unified Endpoint Management team to ensure successful device transitions with minimal disruption to County operations.
• Maintaining accurate deployment, inventory and support documentation.
• Ensuring compliance with County IT security standards and best practices during all deployment and support activities.
