Job summary

You will govern vendor relationships and drive desktop, imaging, and packaging initiatives to ensure reliable services that fuel production and collaboration. In this role, you will oversee outsourced providers, manage hardware lifecycle, and ensure alignment with Boeing's overall technology strategy.

Qualifications

• 9–13 years of IT infrastructure and endpoint systems engineering with a Bachelor Degree or 7–11 years with an MS Degree.
• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure, application packaging, OS imaging, teleconferencing, and user device management (Windows end-user environments).
• Virtualization experience with desktop platforms (VDI, Citrix, VMware Horizons, cloud desktop environments).
• Location requirement: 100% onsite at the Wichita facility.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based virtual desktops and enterprise endpoint solutions.
• Oversee digital workplace technologies, identity services, software delivery, and device lifecycle management.
• Partner with outsourced providers to ensure architecture meets standards and service levels.
• Review provider performance against SLAs/KPIs and manage incidents.
• Provide strategic oversight for infrastructure designs, maintenance schedules, and demand prioritization.
• Support vendor onboarding and govern system access permissions.
• Operate within the vendor management governance framework for endpoint tech.
• Manage hardware leases and lifecycle refreshes with vendors.
• Plan budgets for maintenance, leases, and renewals and translate roadmaps into actions.
• Coordinate with IT leadership to align technology strategy.
