Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL. This full-time day position supports a sterile operating environment and assists surgeons during procedures to ensure patient safety and efficient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sterile field, anticipating surgeon needs, and coordinating with the team to minimize anesthesia time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist experience.
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist experience required.

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and case progression and prepare accordingly.
• Dispose of specimens and instruments properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Call is required for this position.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Nassau.

This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week.

As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures


• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly


• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments


• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety


• Call is required for this position.
