Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to support the Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This full-time Day shift 40 hours per week runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am–5:30pm, with one set day off. Call responsibilities apply, with competitive call differentials and a focus on patient safety.

The role involves maintaining a sterile environment, passing instruments to surgeons, and ensuring efficient procedures within the Endoscopy unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist experience is preferred.
• Endoscopy Technologist experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate surgeon needs and case progression to prepare accordingly.
• Dispose of specimens and instruments properly.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm with one set day off. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials. As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures

• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety

Experience Requirements

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist Experience Required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
