Job summary

Charleston GI is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician for our Summerville Endoscopy Center. The technician will float through the procedure room, assist physicians, prepare rooms, and help with documentation in EMR.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of healthcare experience or graduation from a medical assisting/surgical technician program preferred.
• BLS certification preferred
• Must have knowledge of medical terminology
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to communicate effectively
• Must have basic computer skills
• Must be flexible
• Must be Certified Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and assist the physician with endoscopic procedures.
• Act as circulator and document pathology specimens; assist with room turnover.
• Perform high-level disinfection of endoscopic scopes/equipment in decontamination area.
• Unload supplies and scan documents into EMR; perform other duties as assigned by Nursing leadership.
