Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist in inpatient/outpatient endoscopy procedures, with on-the-job training provided. Duties include coordinating instrumentation, preparing the table, assisting the procedure team, and supporting high level disinfection and safety standards.

Responsibilities cover room prep, instrument handling, assisting with specimens and medications under RN direction, and helping with staff training as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training preferred.
• No experience required; 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the procedure room by opening sterile supplies and arranging instruments.
• Set up the procedure table and supply equipment per case requirements.
• Assist the proceduralist during the endoscopy and support staff as needed.
• Maintain a clean field and adhere to safety standards in the procedural area.
• Care for specimens and manage drugs/solutions under RN direction.
• Support training and integration of new team members as assigned.
