Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks an Endoscopy/GI Motility support role to assist the Endoscopist and nursing staff in delivering patient-centered care. Duties include preparing electrocardiograms, vital signs, and oxygen delivery, while maintaining a clean, efficient environment.

Minimum 1 year of patient care or ambulatory clinical support is required, with BLS and GI-specific certification within two years.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of patient care or ambulatory clinical support (PCT, MA, GI tech or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year PCT/CNA experience and/or GI clinical support experience and/or perioperative experience as Surgical Tech or in Sterile Processing.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and GI-related certification within two years of employment; 10 CEUs related to GI yearly.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical duties contributing to safe, effective patient care delivery.
• Assists the Endoscopist and Clinical Nurse in providing patient care.
• Maintains a clean, organized environment and participates in efficient department operation.
• Completes online mandatory continuing education classes as required.
