Job summary

United Digestives is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist with patient care and instrument reprocessing in a fast-paced endoscopy center in Suwanee, GA. The role requires maintaining equipment, preparing rooms, and supporting physicians under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, CMA or equivalent certification, and familiarity with healthcare systems. CFER certification is preferred, with strong attention to infection control and data entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or equivalent is preferred.
• CFER certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Explains procedures and expected sensations to patient and provides instructions to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Sets up equipment for procedures and ensures supplies are available.
• Assists physician with procedures as directed.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Reports patient findings to supervisor or RN promptly.
• Maintains infection control per policy.
• Cross trains and provides back-up in multiple areas.
