Job summary

United Digestive is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the Panola Endoscopy Center in Lithonia, GA. You will assist with patient care under RN supervision, set up equipment, handle specimen labeling, and maintain infection control protocols.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, CMA or equivalent, and strong computer skills. Prior endoscopy experience is valued; CFER preferred. Responsibilities include equipment prep, patient comfort, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CMA or equivalent preferred or 2 years endoscopy experience in lieu of certification.
• CFER certification preferred. Must be able to operate various healthcare systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Explains procedures and provides instructions to ensure patient cooperation.
• Sets up equipment and ensures necessary supplies are available.
• Assists physicians during procedures as directed.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Collects, labels, and processes specimens.
• Maintains infection control and handles equipment per guidelines.
