Job summary

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• 1 year related patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of computer keyboard is preferred.
• Good communication skills, good organizational and interpersonal/customer service abilities are required.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient patient transport to, within, and from the unit.
• Assist with positioning of patients and basic patient care during procedures.
• Ensure patient safety during electrocautery and proper grounding of equipment.
• Handle and transport lab specimens to and from the Lab.
• Assist with procedures under RN guidance and prepare rooms for procedures.
• Communicate pertinent information to RN/Charge Nurse/Manager/Physician.
• Assist in pre- and post-procedure care under RN supervision, e.g., vital signs, dressing, IV removal.
• Support safety initiatives and proper decontamination per SGNA standards.
