Job summary

Advocate Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Endoscopy Unit in North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Full-time Endoscopy Unit Technician. The role supports patient throughput with 40 hours per week, 7:00–17:30 shifts, and on-call responsibilities.

Emphasis on decontamination, instrument handling, and teamwork across shifts. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED, with six months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; six months related experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Complete high-level disinfection (HLD) training within first three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Operate department equipment and promptly report issues.
• Perform decontamination of scopes and instruments (manual/auto).
• Inspect scopes and instruments for cleanliness and function.
• Assemble scopes and instruments for transport and storage.
• Maintain decontamination documentation in Endora system.
