Pardee UNC Health Care is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to safely reprocess endoscopy equipment and manage supplies in the Operating Room. This full-time, on-site role supports patient care with day shifts and 40 hours per week at PARDEEHOSP.
Required: high school diploma, Endoscopy CRCST/CSPDT/CST certification, and BLS. Prior endoscopy experience preferred to enhance performance and patient safety.

Summary:
The Endoscopy Technician is responsible for safely reprocessing endoscopy equipment for patient use according to the manufacturer instructions for use and in compliance with regulatory guidelines. They are also responsible for stocking, ordering, and maintaining adequate par levels of endoscopic supplies.
Responsibilities:
Performs pressure leak testing on endoscopes.
Meticulously cleans the endoscopes per manufacturers instructions for use to ensure that all bioburden has been removed.
Visually inspects scopes for any damage and performs Adenosine Triphosphate Testing as appropriate.
Prepares scope for high level disinfection in scope washing machine.
Ensures all surfaces of scope have been thoroughly dried prior to being stored in scope drying cabinet.
Manages supplies within the department and ensures they are available to provide safe and efficient care.

High School graduate or equivalent
Endoscopy Technician Certification, CRCST, CSPDT, CST
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
