Job summary

A healthcare provider in Charlotte is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist in procedures and maintain a clean environment. Candidates must have a high school diploma and preferably training as a surgical or endoscopy technician along with BLS certification. The full-time position supports the GI team Monday to Friday with responsibilities including assisting physicians and adherence to infection control guidelines. Qualifications

• Completion of Hepatitis B Vaccine and Flu Vaccine Form is required.
• Completion of TB test is required.
• Preferred minimum of 6 additional hours of CEUs annually in GI field of study.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and RNs with Endoscopy procedures.
• Maintain standards of infection control and safety.
• Perform care and preparation of instruments and equipment.

Skills

Ability to read, understand and complete written forms

Computer skills

Knowledge of infection control guidelines

Education

High school diploma or GED

Surgical or Endoscopy technician training

BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
