Job summary

Emory Healthcare in Dunwoody, GA, is seeking a Gastrointestinal Diagnostic Laboratory Technician to assist physicians in performing routine and complex GI procedures, including endoscopy, liver biopsy, and related studies. You will support workflow, train lower level staff, and coordinate with other departments to schedule procedures.

You will operate a range of GI lab equipment, monitor patients, ensure safety, and maintain inventory.

Qualifications

• Two years Gastro-Intestinal Diagnostic Laboratory Technician experience.
• Proficiency with GI diagnostic procedures and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex GI diagnostic procedures with physician assistance.
• Orders supplies and maintains equipment; assists in training staff.
• Coordinates scheduling with other hospital departments and educates patients.
