Job summary

ProMedica Endoscopy Center in Ohio seeks an Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians and RNs during procedures such as EGDs and colonoscopies. You will ensure proper supply and instrument management, monitor the sterile field, and address any breaks in sterile technique to support patient care.

This full-time, 40-hour/week role requires a high school diploma, ability to move between workstations, tolerate latex and exposure to blood-borne pathogens, and certification such as BLSP; GI Technical

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Must understand directions and communicate clearly.
• Must move about the facility and between workstations.
• Must tolerate latex exposure and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Must differentiate colors and operate video equipment, lasers, and hazardous supplies.
• Must operate patient care equipment and frequently move/lift medium-heavy objects.
• BLSP certification is required; GI Technical Specialist preferred.
• Prior Surgical or GI setting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician and RN during endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP).
• Ensure proper supply and instrument management by checking daily schedule.
• Maintain the sterile field and address breaks in sterile technique.
• Support patient care during endoscopic procedures and post-procedure cleanup.
