Job summary

UofL Health, Inc. is seeking an Endoscopy Tech at South Hospital, Surgery in Shepherdsville, KY. You will support GI procedures, prepare rooms, reprocess scopes, and assist the GI team during and after procedures.

Under supervision, you will maintain sterile fields, manage inventory, and assist with peri-operative care, including preop/pacu duties, to ensure high-quality patient care on first shift (7a–3:30p).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in an operating room or Endoscopy suite preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
• Basic computer skills with data entry into medical records.

Responsibilities

• Assists healthcare practitioners with GI procedures, including patient positioning and scope guidance.
• Provides direct patient care during and after procedures.
• Cleans, sterilizes and reprocesses scope equipment.
• Assembles sterile supplies and assists with room setup and tear down.
• Maintains inventory and handles pharmaceutical agents as directed.
• Collects and transports specimens to the lab.
• Maintains documentation on disinfection solutions and scope processing cycles.
• Communicates messages to staff and keeps unit leadership informed.
