Job summary

Vanderbilt Health’s GI Endoscopy Lab 10 seeks a GI Tech to coordinate daily endoscopy scheduling and assist physicians and nurses throughout procedures. The role includes preparing instruments, maintaining sterile equipment, and supporting perioperative areas in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The candidate will clean, disinfect, sterilize scopes and related instruments, manage inventories, and ensure safe operation of department equipment during endoscopy services across perioperative clinics.

Qualifications

• Assists GI Endoscopy Services Unit with coordination of the daily patient endoscopy schedule.
• Performs tasks to support physicians and nursing staff before, during and after procedures.
• Maintains clean and sterile endoscopy instruments and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assists the proceduralist before, during and after endoscopy procedures.
• Sets up, performs and cleans up assigned endoscopy procedures.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment and documents quality control.
• Receives and inventories departmental supplies and equipment.
• Prepares instrumentation for high-level disinfection and sterilization.
• Operates departmental equipment safely and effectively.
