Job summary

Cool Springs Surgery Center in Franklin, TN seeks an Endoscopy Technician to support GI procedures with instrumentation and ongoing equipment preparation. The role emphasizes maintaining PAR levels, assembling supplies, and ensuring patient comfort under RN supervision.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 2 years of endoscopy tech experience, plus current Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years Endoscopy technician experience required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Effectively organizing time, equipment, supplies to ensure that needed items are readily available in the assigned procedure room.
• Uses equipment accurately to ensure no equipment is broken or instruments lost.
• Provides comfort and reassurance to the patient and promotes privacy and dignity.
• Assists the physician during GI procedures and handles specimens.
• Assists in cleaning and high-level disinfection of equipment, utilizing manual processes and an automated endoscope re-processor (AER).
• Assists in the cleaning and turnover of the procedure room between cases.
• Maintains current knowledge of endoscopic procedures.
• Performs other duties as needed.
