Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System seeks an Endoscopy Specialty Technician to function as a specialty tech, teaching aide and resource person. The role involves preparing for endoscopic procedures, assisting the proceduralist, collecting specimens, and maintaining a sterile environment across adolescent to geriatric patients.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of recent endoscopy or OR experience. OT/call coverage and schedule variability may apply.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum Experience: One (1) year recent experience (within five years) in Endoscopy or Operating Room for PRN.

Responsibilities

• Set up procedures with proper endoscope(s) and supplies per procedure requirements.
• Assist the proceduralist with endoscopic procedures and specimen collection.
• Clean and disinfect endoscopes per manufacturer recommendations and facility standards.
• Maintain aseptic environment and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
