Job summary

The Iowa Clinic in Central Iowa is hiring an Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy Center. You will be responsible for cleaning, reprocessing and maintaining endoscopes and accessories, and you may assist during procedures and with specimen collection for pathology.

Ideal candidates will be able to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, with on-the-job training provided and prior reprocessing or medical/nursing assistant experience preferred. Benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• On the job training provided.
• Previous experience in reprocessing or certified medical/nursing assistant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties related to cleaning, reprocessing and maintaining endoscopes and accessories.
• Assists the physician during procedures and with collection of specimens for pathology.
• Cooperates with Endoscopy Center personnel to provide quality patient care.
• Performs duties related to direct patient care under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
